Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful time spending the holidays how you choose! I was able to get in a fair bit of painting over the break and rounded out my complete projects for 2025 at 101 new models painted. It was a very nice change of pace from 2024's minor 29 new models, and one of my highest completed project years since 2022 during the pandemic.
Already this year I'm up to 6 new models done in the first week and I'm hoping to keep up my drive of painting and completing things from my backlog in anticipation of 11th edition dropping for 40k later this year. So with out any further ado, here are some of the things I've completed at the end of 2025 and the things I've completed at the start of 2026.

Objectives and Terrain

So I was able to complete everything I had on the project board from my last post in December. The Kroot and objective markers I just completed this week, the rest was done in 2025. This was a great feeling as in particular, some of those projects had been on my desk since later 2023. Completing them all and having a clear board for 2026 has really energized me to start working on more projects and clearing out the backlog I've had now for almost 4 years.

So in keeping with clearing out the backlog, I've put the last 13 Termagants from the 10th edition launch box on my board, and the Aquilons from the Hive Storm launch box. Completing them will complete those sets. The Landraider I got for Christmas and will be joining my Emperor's Dragoons (Salamanders) as the Redeemer variant. As this is my first Landraider, I wanted to paint up the inside as well. Overall, it was a lot of fun to build things again, and not just paint. It has also helped listening to batreps as I work to get the creative drive.
