From the Work Bench: May 28, 2026

Hey Everyone!

Sorry for the long break between posts. Life has been very busy and will be getting busier for the next little bit. I've been kinda doing this already, but I'm going to be using the "From the Work Bench" posts to talk about blog updates as well as hobby progress. So without further ado, here's where all the various projects are at!

Painting round up first. I have had some time recently to sit at my desk and do some painting. Not a lot mind you, but some. I've been able to complete 2 of my Tempestus Aquilons and make a little more progress on the rest of the squad.

I've also completed my green phase for my Emperor's Dragoon's Landraider. Now I'm working on the silver details and some of the other parts as well.

I've also done a little more work on my 5 Parsecs from Home crew. Mainly some work on Matt, Sebastian and A-113.

And finally for painting updates, I've added a Griffon mech to my desk from one of the Salvage boxes. Keeping it with the desert scheme that I'm becoming fond of. Just need to complete the base.

And on that note, I've also updated the BattleTech Gallery page with complete shots of all the mechs I've completed so far. It's just the core box set (BattleTech: A Game of Armored Combat) and a random Hellbringer I got from another blind box. I'll add the Griffon in there once I've finished the base.

As for my other games, I'm still making preparations to start my Five Parsecs from Home: Planetfall campaign. Mainly getting myself organized so when I do finally get to play, I can track everything and begin my write-ups. As for my Crimson Tide campaign, I just need to actually play my next rounds. I feel the crew will finish out the quest before looking to the next goal.

As for my Star Trek Adventures: Captain's Log series Gauntlet, much like Crimson Tide, I just need to have time to sit and work through Ep3 "String Theory". I've got the premise of the episode, and I'm into the 1st act, but I just need to sit down when I have the time and play it out. But for those who play in my D&D group, this episode will have an easter egg relating to their ship and crew as part of my first linked world building, which is the goal of this series.

That's pretty much it for my updates. As I said at the start, I'm going to be even more busy for the next few weeks. I'll try to nab some painting time where I can, and if I'm lucky, get some more of my solo play stuff done.

Until next time!
